Big helps

Corrects dogs that pull extremely hard. Our dog is a youngster but is very strong and very large. We are up there in age and cannot afford to be jerked around by a big puppy who is still learning to behave on a leash. It is not abusive but definitely gets their attention and makes a leisurely walk a pleasure instead of a battle.

Works better than traditional prong collar because I don’t have to undo the links every time I want to take it off my dog. Unfortunately, there is some sort of defect in the last link that hooks toward the strap and it is very loose. So that when my dog shakes his head, the whole thing just flops off. when there is tension it seems to be fine so far. My other prong collars have failed with high pressure, this one with no pressure, go figure.

ESCAPE HAZARD

Link failure on two separate occasions. The first time I thought maybe it was user error or a fluke. Since the first time it happened, I check each link before I put it on. On a walk I went to correct my dog, a link came undone, he got loose and went to chase after a cat while a snow plow was also going by. Luckily he came when I called him. This could have gone much much worse. I came to the reviews thikni just had a faulty collar, but there are multiple other reviews saying link failure.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I like the easy-on feature. Much easier than trying to get the two prongs into the link while the dog is wiggly. Total length is easily adjustable by removing a link.

Collar failure

So I purchased this collar for my 30 lb 3.5 mo th old pitbull puppy for training purposes. Works fine, except tonight he saw one of our cas and pulled hard enough that the collar cae apart at one of the metal li is and all he'll broke loose trying to catch him. Invest the extra money and buy a Herm Sprenger

Link Failure…DO NOT trust

Brand new collar we purchased recommended by our trainer. Second use the links failed & collar came off, allowing dog to run into street.
While it’s my fault for not having a backup attached, there’s no way this failure should occur.
