It is important to mention that if the collar is responding with light and vibration, the static is almost certainly occurring. There are many ways to attempt to feel for static that will result in feeling nothing at all even when it is happening, so it is crucial to test for static only in functional ways.
To test your collar, we would recommend touching both prongs firmly to the exposed side of the metal wires on the test light tool that came with your kit, turning the static all the way up to 15, then pressing and holding the button with the raised bump on the front of your remote. You should see a faint light in the center bar of the test light tool when this happens; if so, this confirms the static is operating exactly as it should.
If the test light tool does not light, you can test for any issue with the test light tool by pressing both prongs very firmly to the inside of your wrist, and testing starting on 1 and going up until you feel a sensation. It will initially feel like a faint tingling when you reach the lowest level you notice. Touching one prong, touching both to your thigh or the top of your arm or both with different fingers, etc. will all result in feeling nothing at all.
