- A: The manufacturer has not provided a video on how to open this product. We suggest taking a flat-head screw driver or something else that can act as a lever, and work your way around the bottom of the lid to loosen the lid, or to pry it open.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: I wouldn't be able to lift this to pour clean litter into box. Does this product come with a scoop inside the pail for transferring to litter box?

Would recommend!

We have been using this product for 5 years and love it. Do to our situation we need to have both of the the litter boxes in our bedroom and have no complant of smell. The cats seem to love it also.
The only con would be that ever so often we get a jug where the litter is a darker gray and the clumping quality is far below acceptable. Otherwise clumping is great.

Great Value version of the old Naturally Strong

Had been using the Naturally Strong litter for years and thought it was great. Due to corporate greed, they discontinued it. Not sure if this is the replacement for that, but it's the closest thing I could find. Similar lower dust to the Naturally Strong, but clumps way worse. The pee runs right through it all the way to the bottom before starting to clump.
No, I do not recommend this product.

They changed a good product into a lousy one
a month ago
I've been using Free & Clean for the last 16 years ... it's been my very senior cat's preferred litter. But the last few jugs are NOT the litter we've been using. the urine doesn't clump, it pools and sticks to the bottom and the sides. the litter looks different and fails to perform. Will be looking for a replacement brand.

Why the Change?

I'm no less nger going to purchase this litter and we buy like 6-8 pails at a time for Years . My cats are 12, 14, and 18 yrs old.This is nothing like it was, it is so dusty, it doesn't hold the oder and most of all it DOESN'T clump as it used to. I thought maybe it was my imagination, because the urine is just a pile of mush, on the sides or sinks to the bottom of the litter box and is so hard to remove. I now have to mix this litter with my backup that I use in my 3rd extra box. Companies that change a great product just lose customers, and reading some of these comments you should know why.
No, I do not recommend this product.
