Cushings Disease and Poor Dentition

I feed this to a mid 30 year old QH with poor to no teeth who has Cushings. This endocrine disorder requires a low sugar feed. Nutrena's Special Care is perfect. It's the lowest sugar feed I've found; it is easy to soak (no long waiting periods) and he gobbles it up. I feed him 5lbs twice a day mixed with Alfalfa timothy. He's stands 14.2 and is broad and this amount has kept him steady on his weight, bless his heart. Thanks Nutrena

Horse doesn't like the taste

I bought this for my "fluffy" horse and she dumped the feed bucket and just looked at me. She's not a picky eater. I tried again the next day, and she nibbled on it reluctantly. I finally mixed a little Nutrena Original and she ate it a bit better. I suppose it's like any other "diet" food, it just doesn't have the palatability sweet stuff has. Nutrena is a great feed overall though.
