- A: I purchased a hose/regulator kit (by Mr. Heater sold at Tractor Supply SKU:125263499) that had a two stage regulator located on the end that threads into the propane tank. The hose was plenty long enough so I routed it through a hole in the side wall of my garage from a 100 pound tank sitting outside. I have ran this heater off a 30 pound tank when my 100 runs out, but it won't run for very long or at all unless the 30 is full do to the vaporization rate and the outside temperature.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can i use a 20lb LP Tank for this unit?

I bought this heater 1 year ago hasn’t never worked exactly right. I have a good pilot light but now burner don’t stay lit. Can’t find serial or model numbers on heater or in manual. Every time I google anything I get information on purchasing new heaters so if I buy a new heater it will be a different brand.
