Q: Is this effective for ring worm?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Neighbor! No, Safe-Guard Medicated Cattle Dewormer En-Pro-Al Molasses Block is not effective for ringworm. It is a parasiticidal dewormer designed exclusively to remove lungworms, stomach worms, and intestinal worms in beef cattle. Ringworm is a fungal infection, not a parasite, and requires antifungal treatment, not dewormers like fenbendazole.

Q: If the cattle goes lame will they return to normal when they do not have access to the block ?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. Lameness is typically caused by hoof, joint, or injury issues, not by the dewormer. Removing access to the block stops deworming but will not resolve lameness. A veterinarian should examine the cow to determine and treat the underlying cause.

Much easier wormer

Our cows like these blocks. Even though we handle our cattle, it can be extremely difficult to use other applicators. This appears to be a safe delivery format.
