What a lot of people don't know is that the larger the tank the better propane vaporizes, especially in cold weather. This is like your car getting better gas mileage, plus if your using it inside ( as we all know we're not supposed to) it means less bad fumes inhaled. It's also a good idea to let a tank sit upside down for a day or two when filled and then without shaking the tank open the valve and let it spray out a little. The oil used for order to smell leaks will settle in the bottom. This doesn't need to be every time but at least once a year, the oil will build up and cause problems with many appliances especially heaters which it why so many are buying the in line filters now. The filters do work to a point but check them if oil drips out of the filter drain your tanks as described ( upsidedown) before using them again. Exchange tanks are even worse the exchange companies never purge tanks.
