Mallard Ducks are native to most countries in the Northern Hemispheres. It is thought that all domestic ducks except Muscovy are derived from the wild Mallard, or "Greenhead" as some call them. They are a small, flying duck that is hunted widely. These Mallard ducks retain this excellent flying ability and they do an excellent job of hatching and raising one or two broods of ducklings a year. Mallard ducks start to fly for short spurts at 10-12 weeks and are flying very well by 16 weeks. True to their habit as migratory birds, these Mallard ducks will fly away for the winter, but will often return to the same location in the spring. It is also at about 14-16 weeks that the males get their beautiful coloring - prior to that both the males and females are similarly colored in shades of brown. The Mallard ducks are calm ducks that are great entertainment, and organic pest control that are very hardy in all climates

8 ducklings arrived dead 1 extremely lethargic don’t think it’s going to survive through the night. Out of 10 and $140 later I might have 1 duckling survive. So disappointed for the way they are shipped. It is horrible just the ducklings in a box with holes. The breeders should do better!!!
