Q: How close is this to Husqvarna orange?

- A: Per the manufacturer, although AC Orange is not an exact match to Husqvarna Orange, they have often seen it substituted for Husq Orange. They believe AC Orange is a little darker, and shades a little towards red (in comparison). They recommend applying a small test patch, to a discreet area, before committing to the entire project.7 years agoHelpful?

I bought an older Allis Chalmers tractor which had been repainted recently. Prep wasn't very good as it was painted over rust, bugs and even bird droppings. Still Tractor looks decent from 100 feet away. I also bought several used implements of different brands and wanted to match the implement collars with the tractor color so I bought a few cans of the AC Orange. I wasn't sure about this product at first as it seemed it wasn't going to dry, but it dried very hard after a couple days with a good shine. Implements look great for the age they are. Some had rust pitting, I didn't take great caution to totally remove all the rust, but even after a year with some being left out in the weather no rust has popped out of the paint yet. I'm sure it will eventually, but I'm more then pleased with the results. If any pops out I can retouch it. My next project will be repainting my utility trailer. I have used another popular rust preventive paint on the trailer in the past with decent results, but I think this stuff will be better.

A C Orange is a great match for Husqvarna. This GTH 225 had badly faded paint. Now it looks excellent. Takes longer than expected to dry but the results are worth the wait. Highly recommended.
