Q: Does the vent lever pull air from outside when opened? I have this air conditioner, but the lever (closed/open) doesn't seem to make any impact on the temperature it kicks out. For example, at night I'd like to pull in cool air from outside.

- A: Our manual for the LG 12,200 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Cooling & Heating, Model # LW1223HR does not have instructions for a ventilation lever nor do they show that this model has a ventilation lever. If it has one, the ventilation lever must be in the CLOSE position for the air conditioner to maintain the best cooling conditions. When fresh air is necessary in the room, it should be set to the OPEN position so the damper opens and the room air is drawn out...^Ivan.a year ago

Q: I bought an LG 12200 btu and it is not cooling! We had it in the window and the compressor kicked on for like 3-4 seconds and kicked back off. The air conditioner is BRAND NEW!!!

I bought this in May 2024 never really blowed cold air went to switch it over to heater and the Heater does not work . OVER ALL I am dissapointed . This was for my Dog Kennel to keep them cool and warm . NOT HAPPY
