The LW1823HRSM is the SMART way to keep your house feeling comfortable no matter what the weather is like outside! LG ThinQ technology lets you control your air conditioner with your phone or use with Amazon Alexa and Hey Google to have control with the sound of your voice. This unit ideal for cooling medium to large rooms up to 1000 sq. ft. and you can even add a bit of warmth on cooler days with the supplemental heat option. With 2 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer you can create the perfect cooling schedule. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, heating, or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. Other features include a remote control, easy window installation kit, removable, washable filter and a check filter alert.

Q: How do you get the heat to work? I have it on heat and have the temperature at 78 and sometimes turn it up to 82 but don't feel heat. First time turning this unit on!

Q: What is the minimum ambient temperature that this unit is designed to be operated in A/C mode? In other words, will the unit be damaged if operated in A/C mode when outdoor temps are 60 degrees or below? No mention is made on this in the owner's manual.

As with any other Window Air Conditioner, regardless of brand or manufacturer, the LG 18,000 BTU Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Cooling & Heating, Model # LW1823HRSM can be run at a minimum temperature of generally around 60°F (15.6°C). Operating your air conditioner below this temperature can cause the unit to overwork, potentially leading to damages such as frozen coils and compressor issues...^Ivan.a year ago

- A: Hello, RHALL1. The LG 18,000 BTU Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Cooling & Heating, Model # LW1823HRSM, requires a single-hung or double-hung window for proper installation. The side louvers cannot be covered up or obstructed and must remain exposed to the outside of the structure, so it cannot be installed in a wall since that would require a wall sleeve designed to support the weight of the air conditioner in a wall. Confused on filter.

Our contractor purchased the product for our attic while it was being remodeling into a bedroom. It continually shows a red light for the filter to be cleaned. Is this normal? We have only used the cooling no heat used in August.

We bought this unit to replace the one we had that had just quit working. As the temperatures were in triple digits we needed one quickly. This is the updated version of the one we had, so we opted to buy it. We feel that this was a wise choice. It works like a champ.
