Q: Is this particular model considered dripless? Meaning does it drip water out on the pavement below?
10 months ago- A: Hey there! We'd be more than happy to help you with the LG air conditioner. This model is designed to manage condensation internally, so it is considered dripless in typical operation. It does not drip water directly onto the pavement below. Instead, any moisture collected is usually evaporated or drained through an internal system. For more questions, private message us on social media @LGUSSupport. We're always happy to help! ^Joslyn10 months ago

Q: how wide will the curtain panels extend? will this unit work for a window that is 36 inches wide?
a year ago- A: The LG 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8024RD is designed for installation in standard single-hung or double-hung windows with actual opening widths from 22” to 36”. Q: LW8024RD 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner. Does the unit shut off when it gets to Temp in the Cooling Mode. Also there is a Black Rubber Plug under the Air conditioner should that be removed to drain the water or do we leave it in?
a year ago- A: Hello, Lmaisonv. When the LG 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8024RD, is set to run in Energy Saver mode, the compressor and fan turn off when the set temperature is achieved. Approximately every 3 minutes the fan turns on to allow the unit sensor to accurately determine if more cooling is needed. The air conditioner is equipped with a slinger fan with an outer ring that picks up the condensed water from the base pan if the water level gets high enough. The fan then picks up the water and expels it through the condenser, making the air conditioner more efficient. However, if the water level in the base pan gets too high you can remove the plug from the drain port to drain any excess water...^Ivan.a year ago
Q: Hearing a bit of a higher pitched grind - recently installed
a year ago- A: Hello there! It's normal to hear the sound of water splashing or a pinging noise when the air conditioner is running. These sounds are nothing to worry about and are simply caused by moisture in the base pan of the air conditioner being picked up by a fan. This helps the air conditioner to cool more effectively by helping to discharge the heat from the condenser coil. If the noise seems different from what was described, please contact us on social media at @LGUSSupport with your contact details so we can investigate further. - Anthonya year ago
Q: Just installed a new unit for our small guard shack & it ran for about 20 minutes now our security guard is roasting the comp. shuts off & it won’t do anything we cycle through the settings & nothing maybe after another 20 minutes & the unit will turn on
a year ago- A: Hello, Eslim831. What is the square footage of the "small guard shack" in which the LG 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8024RD, is installed? The 8,000 BTU rating for this air conditioner will cool a room of up to 340 square feet. If the guard shack that you have the AC installed in is too small for the BTU rating, you have an oversized air conditioner and if the shack feels cool but “wet” and too humid, that is a sure sign you have an oversized air conditioner. An oversized air conditioner presents a number of problems that can be crippling and result in needing to replace the unit years before its time. With oversized air conditioners, the unit makes the room cooler faster. As a result, it runs a much shorter period of time than an air conditioner that has been properly sized will. This means the water cannot condense on the coil and is carried back into the room. So while your room may be cooler, an oversized air conditioner results in that “sticky feeling” you sometimes get in air-conditioned houses...^Ivan.a year ago
