KBS number 1 Thinner in the 8 oz size is the thinner made for KBS coatings. Use it to thin and clean up RustSeal, BlackTop, KBS Top Coater, KBS MAXX, Motor Coater, DiamondFinish Clear, and the other KBS paints used on tractors, implements, trailers, truck frames, and farm equipment. Many moisture cured KBS coatings react with water, and ordinary hardware store solvents can carry enough moisture to hurt how the paint cures and performs. KBS number 1 Thinner is formulated for these coatings, so the paint flows, levels, and cures the way it should. It is VOC exempt, with a VOC content of 0 grams per liter, and it is also the right solvent for cleaning brushes, spray guns, and tools after the job. BlackTop: thin 5 to 10 percent when heat or humidity keeps brush marks from flowing out or when spraying, and up to 20 percent for a flatter satin look. KBS Top Coater: thin up to 10 percent for brush or roll, and 10 to 20 percent for spraying. Always stir the coating, pour a working amount into a separate container, and add thinner to that portion, then reseal the original can. Highly flammable.
