J-B Weld is The Original Cold-Weld two-part epoxy system that provides strong, lasting repairs to metal and multiple surfaces. Mixed at a ratio of 1:1, it forms a permanent bond and can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded and drilled after curing. At room temperature, J-B Weld sets in 4-6 hours to a dark grey color. Full cure is reached in 15 hours. J-B Weld has a tensile strength of 5020 PSI and sets to a hard bond overnight. It can withstand temperatures up to 550 degrees F when fully cured

I installed this on a snow shovel edge to replace the metal edge that worn off. And it works great! Don't have to buy a new shovel. It seams to wear better than the original metal tin edge. Too bad that JB Weld product doesn't include ceramic particles with the steel for more wear resistant.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Blah. Runny and takes ages to set up for use.

So far everything I have used this epoxy for has broken right after the attempted repair. Also plan on mixing the epoxy a good hour or two before you even need to use it as this stuff takes FOREVER to actually set up with some tack and holding strength. Pretty much a runny syrup before that point and hasn't proved to be any better than regular 5 minute epoxy or JB welds ordinary stuff. I have found JB weld is good for arts and crafts but anything past that you're better off spending your money on an actual legit repair.

No, I do not recommend this product.
