Q: How do I rethread the strap that has pulled loose from the ratchet?

  • A: Press on the release latch and open the lever fully to expose the axle slot. If the axle slot is not facing upwards, pump the ratchet a few times until it is. Thread the feed end of the strap through the slot from the bottom. Pull the strap through to the front about 5 or 6 inches and slip under the ratchet mechanism.

I love these retractable ratchet straps. These make strapping down cargo much easier and faster than the traditional ratchet straps. They also store nicely when retracted all the way and prevents tangling.

Absolutely worthless - my first mistake not aware they don't self-retract. I used these straps twice now both are broken - useless and of course can't return them - PLEASE DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR PAY A LITTLE MORE AND BUY BETTER QUALITY
