Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tanks, but without the right parts or instructions The tank is basically fine, although the drain is mounted high, so you have to tip the back end of the tank up to fully drain it, so don't fix the tank down hard if you need to drain the tank fully each use, like for maple sap. Here is what was extremely frustrating.... I went to three locations that sold these tanks and none had staff expertise or drain valves that would screw onto the "outside" threads of the drain. The outside threads are "reverse threaded." Insanity!! Stupid!! And, there are no instructions with the tank on how to add a valve. I had to do an online search and go to the manufacturer's website and then their YouTube page to get a hint that any valve had to be threaded into the INSIDE of the drain, not the outside. That meant buying a threaded insert and a matching ball valve. That worked fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Asset The hydrant in our barn broke, my husband had surgery, and I was faced with carrying water from the house or dragging 3 lengths of hose on these winter days. We bought this water tank and strapped it to our ATV. It’s just the right size to fill buckets or fill the trough in a few trips. I’m thankful for this tank!

Can this tank be left in the sun, and not be damaged by the sun UV ?

The resin the tanks are comprised of is UV stabilized but by keeping the tank sheltered or indoors you will prolong the life of your tank.

Most customers order bands if the purpose of your application requires any mobility; they are an inexpensive insurance policy to ensure stability and safety.

Are your norwesco water tanks hdpe ?

Asked by: pooperscoop
Hi pooperscoop, Yes, Norwesco uses a linear, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin that provides outstanding environmental stress crack resistance. The resin is UV stabilized but by keeping the tank sheltered or indoors you will prolong the life of your tank. Feel free to call me with any questions. Thanks, Bob 952-446-8807

would this work for fermentation? I was really interested in the 35 Gallon Norwesco Inductor Cone Bottom Tank, but it looks like TSC doesn't carry it

Asked by: ABNGRNT13
Hi ABNGRNT13, You are correct, the 35-gallon inductor isn't a standard, off-the-shelf offering from TSC, but you can "special" order any tank through your local TSC store manager. They have a process in place for the ordering of non-standard items. Feel free to give me a call at Norwesco if your store manager needs any help. The tank part number you want is 45098 and the stand that holds it is 65517. Thanks, Bob 952-446-8807
