This is the hardiest little hay feeder. I have a mini donkey that loves to knock it over on a daily basis. I have had this feeder outside, in all weather, for over a year. It's still holding up. It was super easy to put together, so I had low expectations for how well it would hold up. If it can handle my rough little donkey, it can definitely hold up for smaller animals.

Had to use better screws on the base tray, other than that great!!
