Tarter Titan Bull Hay Feeder (3-Piece Heavy-Duty Bull Hay Feeder) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 120.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save Hay save Money The Bull hay feeder helps stop hay loss by holding it in the ring for feeding. The calves are less likely to get in the ring and pull the hay out around the bottom. The Bull seems to feed out of it better by putting head in to eat instead of pushing it around eating off the ground

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I’ll update this in a year.. Just bought a few weeks back to replace a 3 yr old lighter duty TSC ring the cows bent the heck out of and broke welds making it dangerous to them. Not sure how this will last since on inspection at home I find some of the welds are only 2/3rds around in places. It is a little heavier by weight but only 14 gauge pipe so time will tell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you cows have horns dont buy it! Took all of 5 minutes for my jersey steer to get his head stuck in the small opening where each of the 3 panels meet, a day later it happened again, not exactly happy having to modify a 3 day old 350 dollar feeder thats labeled BULL FEEDER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Much better than to lighter cheaper rings. I bought 2 cheap ones last year and they lasted just a little over a year. I bought 2 of these and the are much heavier and sturdier than the others. My big Bull can push these around as easy. Doesn't waste as much hay. Overall a good unit.

No, 51" is the tallest made by Tarter.

Does this hay feeder work well for horses?

Asked by: Saline
We do not recommend this for horses or for horned cattle due to the top being closed. We have several hay feeders with open tops that are designed for horses - sku 2168032, sku 2168155, sku 2160026 and sku 1042634. Thank you,

what gauge steel is the skirt and the bars?

Asked by: cattle feeder
Because gauge terminology can vary company to company, we like to use overall weight when explaining thickness of steel. With that said, the S bars on this feeder are 19 gauge, the top 2" tube rail is 14 gauge and the skirt is 20 gauge. This is a very strong, rugged feeder. Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
