Works great!

Gets the job done. As first time beekeepers with only two hives, we used this to harvest our honey in December bc our hives disappeared. It was amazing how much honey came out! Would recommend for those with few hives.

Entry level

After looking at some homemade extractors and getting sticker shock from higher quality models we elected to go with this 2 frame hand crank model as our first new extractor. We also needed one in a pinch. The good.... Nice stainless steel is easy to clean. Lightweight and easy to move around. Everything you need for a small operation with only a few hives. The bad..... A lot of sharp corners on legs and on the rack cage. Needed an extra seal for the honey gate to stop the leaking. Wobbles a lot without bracing. Crank shaft, bushing and gears didnt fit well. As we spun the crank the gears would bind in the same spot of the rotation as the shaft alignment was not square. This also walked the bushing out of the shaft mounting brace. Knowing you get what you pay for I was expecting some issues at the price .........All in all, I would recommend if you are going to invest the money, save a little extra and go for a higher quality radial extractor, manual or electric. But if you are just getting started or just need something simple in a pinch, it's not a bad deal.

Quick and Easy

After using a DIY extractor for the past few years, I wanted to spoil myself with an easier process. This Honey Extractor was efficient, balanced and easy to use. I believe my yield was higher due to improved extraction over the aforementioned DIY extractor. As mentioned in other reviews, you may need to bold legs down to board to prevent it from dancing. Each leg alread has a hole drilled in food for possible mounting. Definitely an upgrade to do to it before next year.

A good 2 frame extractor.

It needs to be bolted down, otherwise it can start bouncing around, when you start spinning.
