It's added after the deep boxes are full and honey production has begun. You will continue to add medium boxes until you are ready to extract honey. It fits the standard Langstroth beehive design.

New to Bee Keeping

I am a first time bee keeper so the learning curve is high. I bought complete large and medium Harvest Lane Honey Beehive supers and they are great. The only reason I did not give these items a 5 is that they are not painted well. I had to paint them again with two more coats to get the protection necessary for weather. My bees are now in the hive and seem to be happy.

Missing a frame one broken frame 4 are badly warped one side was already rotting and the other have knot's like crazy. This is trash wood trash frames don't bother at all.

Decent box available at local store and I needed it now. So, looks like good box, I added a coat of paint as what they call paint appears to be a light coat of primer.

Great addition to bee box

I bought the super at the same time as the bee box this time. Last time we realized we needed to add a super and then had to run around trying to find one. This time I’m ready to go right from the start!
However, it’s worth mentioning, that when purchasing on the website you may be choosing items at different locations. I had to go to 2 locations to pickup my order. Not a problem for me just wanted you to be aware.
