- DESIGN - Our feeders are waterproof! Side guards to prevent chickens from eating from the side. An anti-flick grill prevents chickens from flicking food out of the feeder, attracting rats and mice. The minimum weight required to open the feeder has been tested and proven to ensure your chickens can access the feed while pests can't.
- OPERATION - A lid which opens when activated by a chicken's weight allows your hens to feed on demand while preventing wild birds, rats, mice, and other pests from accessing the feed. The top removable waterproof lid allows for easy filling of feed.

Was not at all effective, I do not recommend

I followed the instructions for slowly acclimating my flock to this feeder, even giving a few extra days with each stage of lowering the lid. My chickens were reluctant to put their heads in this gap to feed out of it and then when closed, the sound of the treadle clunking scared them away. yes, the feed lasted longer...not because the rodents and songbirds were kept out, because my chickens wouldn't eat out of it!

This feeder was such a win! I was losing so much chicken feed to sparrows! Now they can’t get to it. I tried to rush the training process for my girls; that didn’t work. Take the time the instructions recommend.

Tried for 2 months.... gave up!

Did NOT work for me. I tried for 2 months, spent a fortune on food (more than normal), and the smaller chickens were constantly chased away, to the point of getting sick! It's not normal to ask an animal to IGNORE their God-given instinct of protection for nourishment. My feeder will be going FB Marketplace immediately
