GEARWRENCH has taken the ratcheting wrench design and applied it to the tap and die application with the GEARWRENCH 77 pc. Tap And Die Set. The Twist Lock guide system utilized by the tap and die set reduces the walk back of the die guide and keeps the dies centered while cutting. The die adapters in the tap and die set work with the 3/8 in. drive Pass-Thru ratchet and socket system. The blow mold carrying case with tilted tap holders securely stores and keeps the tape and die set organized.Limited Lifetime
- Die adapter works on round and hex shaped dies
- Ratcheting T-handles wind dies with a 5 swing arc and have a reversing lever to eliminate hand-over-hand turning
- Twist Lock guide system reduces the walk back of the die guide and keeps the dies centered while cutting
- Die adapters work with the 3/8 in. drive Pass-Thru ratchet and socket system as well as socket accessories
- Drive extension adapters provide greater access in confined areas when used with 3/8 in. drive extensions
- Blow mold carrying case with tilted tap holders for easy access and secure storage of the tap and die set
- Die adapter works on round and hex shaped dies
- Auto-locking feature allow the tap adapters in the tap and die set to be removed safely
- Spring-loaded cap allows for quick release of large tap adapter

Nice set not shabby at all im a boilermaker and this set is fine for nuts bolts etc on boilers not pipe by no means i got those up to 2-1/2"

used tap 1 time and the teeth just above the taper end broke off and rounded off the taper. dont buy these unless your just trying to tap aluminum, not made for soft steel

Replacement parts???

My set is ok, the large ratcheting t handle failed. I broke a tap and was looking for a replacement but gearwrench only seems to sell the whole kit- no replacement parts
