Q&As

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Can this be modified to spray a 3to4 ft width for under trees in a orchard

  • AI-generated, Human-approved
A: Yes, you can reduce the spray swath by lowering the pressure and adjusting the nozzle mounts. By loosening the clamps to twist the nozzles and lowering the mount, you can achieve a smaller coverage area. It is recommended to test with water to reach your desired width.

Q: Can the horizontal width be adjusted to down to 30ft? That would be the width of 12 rows of corn or two drill widths. I assume it can be.

A: By reducing your pressure, loosening the clamp and to allow you to twist the nozzle upward a little, then retighten the clamp and lowing the nozzle mount downward a little, should allow you to reduce the swath. You would need to test with water until you get the desired swath you're looking for.

    Assembly comments

Unit came partially assembled. One component was supposed to be assembled and wasn't which required me to supply hardware for the assembly. The spray nozzle assembly needs to be performed by the engineer that designed it. The pieces that hold the pipe in place are recessed so that when tightening the head of the bolt gets pulled down into the recess and wont allow you to get a wrench on it. In addition, with the bolt pulled onto the recess you can not slide the assembly onto the vertical bar because of the interference with the bolts. Adding flat washers (not supplied) stops the bolt from being pulled into the recess and allows the unit to slide onto the vertical support. Can not comment on the actual working as i haven't used the sprayer yet.

Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration. You are completely right—that sub-assembly step should have been completed before the unit ever shipped to you. Our engineering team took a close look at your review to understand what went wrong, and we wanted to share a quick detail about the design that explains why you ran into so many headaches with the hardware: The Original Design: The nozzle clamp is designed to use a specific thread-cutting screw that threads directly into the plastic. Because of this, no nut or pass-through bolt is supposed to be used. Why You Ran Into Issues: Because our team missed installing that screw during sub-assembly, you had to source your own hardware. The smaller-diameter bolt you used went all the way through, causing it to pull into the recess and interfere with the vertical support bar. How we want to make this right: If you contact our customer support team directly at 800-831-0027, we will gladly ship you the correct thread-cutting screws free of charge. This will allow you to mount the assembly easily and securely without needing to use extra washers or struggle with wrench clearances. In the meantime, our quality control team is actively auditing our current inventory to ensure this was a one-time assembly oversight and doesn't happen to anyone else. We hope you'll reach out so we can get those correct parts to you, and we’d love to hear how the sprayer performs for you once you get a chance to test it out! FimcoInc

Sprayer did a good job. The regulator needs some attention. Having trouble getting it to spray with both nozzles. I have to split the difference on the dial to get it to work

    Food plot support

The FIMCO 110gallon sprayer was purchased given it was not too heavy for my Kubota L40HSTC Tractor, yet provided enough liquid storage to allow me to spray all of our food plots in two passes. The unit worked flawlessly. Only two somewhat negative issues: (1) the users manual wasn’t very helpful on operational usage (mostly assembly & parts ordering). (2) thus related issues were trying to understand how to configure the unit for bypass and to drain it.
