The DEWALT 3/8 in. Filter removes dirt and condensed water to protect and extend air tool life. A sintered brass filter element captures contaminants and delivers outstanding filtration. The filter includes a metal bowl guard that protects against impacts and has a quick-release bowl and quarter-turn drain for ease of use. The DEWALT 3/8 in. NPT standard air filter works great in any compressor, air tank or air system.

Q: I have a DeWALT 25 gal / 200 psi ( DXCM251 ), Will this work with it ???

- A: This filter will work with this compressor. However, you will need to make sure the regulator is set to 150 PSI maximum because the filter max pressure rating is 150 PSI. If you want to mount the filter directly to the compressor instead of mounting to the wall due to this compressor being a portable compressor, you will need to remove the quick coupler from the regulator and get an approximately 6” long nipple that has ¼” NPT threads on one end and 3/8” NPT threads on the other (or they could have the same threads on both ends and use a ¼” NPT female to 3/8” NPT male adapter). This nipple would go between the regulator and the filter. The nipple needs to be this long so the filter is outside the compressor where the filter can be rotated to screw it onto the nipple. You will then need a 3/8” NPT male to ¼” NPT female adapter that is assembled to the output side of the filter and then the quick coupler that was removed from the regulator at the start can be assembled into the adapter.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this filter good for painting aswell

- A: This filter will work well for painting but if you want to make sure no moisture goes through I would recommend a desiccant dryer put on the air hose prior to the spray gun to get any moisture that may condensate in the hose.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: No, there is no mounting bracket. We recommend attaching to your shut off valve that comes out of your compressor or into your hard piping system on your wall.6 years agoHelpful?
