Great Machine - almost

I had a Cuisinart coffee machine I donated. I tried the Kurig duo that dropped dead in 3 months. I went back to the Cuisinart machine. It makes great carafe coffee as well as pods. The one downside is the filter. It's not fine enough. I get too much silt in the carafe. The V filter did not do that. I can't find gtf-b paper coffee filters.

I have owned this machine for a few years. Originally, I owned it in a house and then moved to a condo. Unfortunately, it makes an incredibly loud noise, such that I do not want to be an annoying neighbor or have it go off too early or too late. I also don’t set it as a timer because it makes me jump out of my skin every time I hear it. That negates the use of the grinder, making it an expensive machine that isn’t used fully. It also doesn’t keep the coffee, hot enough.

No, I do not recommend this product.

To help reduce the impact of grinder noise, try cleaning the grinder chute and bean hopper regularly to prevent excess strain during operation, and experiment with smaller batch sizes, which may shorten grinding time; for hotter coffee, preheating the carafe with hot water before brewing and ensuring the warming plate is clean may help maintain temperature longer.
