I got this from my employer's milestone anniversary catalogue and I'm glad I did because it's a really convenient way to make cold brew and a great addition to my coffee making arsenal. My daily go-to is an Aeropress, I use a french press for certain coffees (like Ka'u coffee) that benefit from that method, and I picked up a used Nespresso Vertuo machine for cheap and my wife uses it for her flavored coffee drinks and I'll use it if I'm lazy and need a quick cup at night, I don't feel compelled to get into the pour-over scene but I've always wanted to try cold brewing. The KitchenAid cold brew coffee maker is definitely an upscale option that I probably wouldn't have bought but now that I have it, I would totally replace it if one of my kids knocked it off the shelf in the refrigerator and it broke into a million pieces. It's definitely a different experience compared to brewing with hot water. You do have to use decent beans, though. It was so smooth and sweet with Peet's Coffee French Roast that I thought I could get away with Kirkland dark roast--NOPE. It's passable but why? I usually keep it in the fridge for those mornings when I'm running a little late so I use the cold brew concentrate to make an "Americano". It is great for iced coffee and I mean just with ice and a little water to top off the cup. I can see if you add a lot of milk, you might want to use the concentrate straight so this might not be the cold brew maker for you. Otherwise it's perfect. Oh, and like a lot of the other reviewers, my original model leaked after the second use but KitchenAid replaced it no questions and it's been leak free for almost a year now with nearly continuous use.

Bought 2 of these a while ago. Both Worked well for about one year until they started leaking! The spout now leaks when you turn it off on both. I tried deep cleaning and making sure everything was tight but the spouts still drips.I really liked this product but unfortunately cannot use it anymore.

Love this cold brewer in concept- looks great, can leave it on the counter- but there is a persistent leak at the bottom where the plastic drain meets the glass,no matter how much I tighten it, and it winds up leaking out completely. Great looks, poor design/construction for a pricey item.
