9 months ago- A: To install a 10 ft. utility tube gate, first, set the hinge post and a second post to the desired spacing, which is about 1" wider than the gate itself for a standard installation. Next, mark and drill holes for the hinges on both posts, then attach the hinges to the post using hinge pins or lag screws. Hang the gate on the hinges and use a level to ensure it is hanging straight, adjusting the hinges as needed before securing them permanently. Finally, attach the latch mechanism to the other post and the gate.
