No, Coolaroo Butterfly Clips are designed with heavy-duty locking teeth that snap together permanently, making them very difficult to open easily once they are clamped onto your shade cloth. Attempting to pry them apart with a flathead screwdriver usually cracks the rigid plastic or tears the fabric, so they are meant to stay attached to the cloth even when you take it down for the season. To easily take your shade sail down, your best bet is to leave the clips clamped onto the fabric permanently and simply unhook the clip loops from your support ropes or frame hooks.a month agoHelpful?

Would have given them a 5 star rating, but difficult to secure them to the shade. Spent too much time doing it.
Seem secure though,once applied.
Survived first windstorm without problem.
