Rated 5 out of 5 by from Champion generator Awesome little generator. It runs my AC in my camper with no problem at all. And it's quite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet, easy to carry. Great generator, very quiet. easy to carry, meets my needs for powering small items when I don't need a larger generator. I have a larger Champion Generator and I can't always carry it along, this one allows me to grab it and go and when I am alone. It even powered up my small pancake air compressor with no problems. My only con is that you have to take the screws loose on the side panel every time to check the oil but this seems to be the same with most all small inverter generators no matter the brand. If this thing is as well built as my larger Champion Generator I am looking forward to the years of trouble free use it will provide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this again I am amazed at how quiet this generator is. I bought it for our camper. After reading several reviews and watching a couple of YouTube videos I decided on the champion 2000 watt inverter generator. It is light weight , quiet , starts easy and was reasonable priced . I am very happy with it and would recommend buying one

I am looking for a generator for a tailgate. Want to run a 60" TV, a crockpot and maybe a small decorative blowup. Would this have enough power? At the very least need to power the tv

Asked by: Noah M
It will certainly power a TV and a blow up, but you may need to check the draw on the crock pot. For keeping food warm, draw should be minimal but heating elements can be power hungry. Let us know if you have any additional questions at SUPPORT@CPEAUTO.COM. Thank you!

Will this handle my cpap all night ?

Asked by: Deacon66
This generator runs for 9.5 hours at a 25% load. We do not recommend that you use a this recreational class machine as the sole power source for any medical or life saving medical devices. You should consider battery backups or uninterruptible power supplies as an extra level of protection.

For the Champion 100478 generator I know there is a gas cap breather valve but can you tell me if there is also a fuel shut off valve to enable running the generator out of gasoline before storing?

Asked by: Bluborder
Yes, there is a fuel on/off knob on the front of the generator which will allow you to run the machine to fuel starvation for storage. Thank you!

Do you have to pull any covers off to check or fill the oil? Also. How easy is it to pull out the spark plug?

Asked by: Trapper50
Yes, you have to remove the maintenance cover to do both. It is not difficult for a person familiar with small engines to perform maintenance.

Anyone else have issues getting this started when it is cold? It always starts in 1 or 2 pulls if its warm (50°+) but even using the recommended synthetic 5W30 it takes a good 20-30 pulls to get it to start when the temperatures are in the single digits.

Asked by: maineskidooman
We are sorry to hear there is trouble getting the machine started in the cold. The machine is rated to be started in temps as low as 5F. If you are having trouble getting it started above this temp, please reach out to us at SUPPORT@CPEAUTO.COM or give us a call. We can discuss the situation and look for indications as to what may be the cause of the hard start in cold weather. We understand that sometimes the temperature will be below 5F and in those cases, the unit should be brought up to this temperature before starting. Thank you.

Will it fit in the passengerfloorboard of my big rig?

Asked by: 3MasterSk8er
I would take the provided dimensions and compare that to the dimensions of your floor space. In any case, the machine should never be run in any enclosed space or compartment, but only outside with a minimum of three feet of clearance on all sides for adequate cooling.

How hard is it to use the recoil start on this generator? I had a power mower with a recoil start and I had to get rid of it because it was so hard for me to start.

Asked by: Fetch
The engine is equipped with a compression release feature that makes using the recoil starter something that just about anyone can accomplish... young or old and all in between.
