Earthquake Dually is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Woodland Park I have been a professional fence builder for 10 years. What you have to understand about this style of one man or two man augers in general is that they will NOT dig every hole. In soft ground these augers will dig holes quickly and easily; in dense roots or rocks you will have an easier time with the hand diggers and rock bar. It’s probably not worth purchasing for a small project but if you have a bunch of holes to dig or if you do it as part of your profession, having one around can prove its worth some days. As for this machine compared to others, I am impressed with the unit so far. I have only ran two tanks of some premium quality pre mixed 2 stroke fuel but it has done quite a bit of work. In perfect dirt this thing will dig a 15 second hole if you know how to use it. The 52cc engine provides as much power as you would want to handle yourself when you hit something in the ground. I can beast out some work by myself and I often do, but it is even easier to use with a partner. The dual throttle control really is a useful feature and the way they designed the handles make a pretty solid roll cage for the machine. I wouldn’t worry about damage to the machine if I have it standing up on the bit and it falls on the dirt or something. I just lay mine down on the trailer with the bit attached. The weight is good too, though it won’t dig every hole, it’s convenient enough to lug around that it’s worth it to try more often than not. If you dig holes often this machine may save the day. It’s small and light enough to take anywhere, and this one is easy to handle alone or with help. If you are thinking of purchasing a one man auger this one is definitely the one you want.
