Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best rat trap you can buy First setup we caught 8 rats. Second set three rats. We going to give some time on the third set. With the lack of dedicated cats this is the real meow. And my dogs don't chase the trap. It is very durable, one of our 90 pound lambs stepped on it and no damage! If you have rats and want to remove them without the smell of dead ones in your barn, this is the trap for you. Just read the directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best live trap I've ever had. I knew I had a problem with some rats getting into my house due to a lot of construction in my neighborhood, but I had no idea how bad it was. I wanted to catch multiple rats at a time, instead of using single traps, so I bought the Ratinator. I followed the directions and left the trap baited and open for two days and then closed it up. The first night I trapped the 2 huge rats in my closed up bedroom, which were denuding my houseplants. I was very happy with that. Then I placed it near the back door off my kitchen and went through the introduction procedure again. When I set the trap this time, I got 8 rats, including some juveniles, the first night and this morning I counted nine more, so this trap really works. It is absolutely worth the money I paid for it, and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny - highly effective This trap advertised it can catch up to 21 rats at once and I caught 22 the first night. It's well-built and easy to set and bait. This is a great alternative to poisons. I wired it open the first night so the rats got used to it and then activated the next day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Catch and escape Needs improvement to keep the rats from an easy escape. They go out the same way in by pulling the door down.

Will this trap mice as well?  Are they able to escape?

Asked by: JoyceF
Hello, Our Ratinator is not for mice. The size of the mesh is too big and they can escape.

Is this built  relatively the same as the squirrel eliminator .. is the principal the same and is it possible that I could also use this to get squirrels or do they think different and react differently to this type of trap then the type that repeat u sel

Asked by: Boggy woogy man
Yes the Ratinator is built in similar way except the entry door is a pendulum style or reverse as the Squirrelinator door. Rats don't like to use their heads to push the door open but will walk over the wire door to get inside. Just remember to twist tie the door open for a couple of days and provide free food for 2-3 days then release the door down. The next day you should have some rats inside the trap.
