Item Information

The Victor Electronic Rat Trap is an innovative solution in rodent control. It works by delivering a humane, high-voltage shock to effectively kill the invading rat, while the 3-plate design prevents escapes. This powerful device is capable of killing up to 50 rats per set of fully charged batteries (4 "C"), making it a great value when you're dealing with a sizable infestation. It's also easy to use! Get started by simply applying a small amount of high-protein bait, such as peanut butter or hazelnut spread, on the back wall of the trap, place the trap in a location with rodent activity and turn it on.

The trap is equipped with advanced smart circuit technology, which senses when a rat enters the tunnel, triggering the system to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock once the rat steps on an electrified plate. Since rats have the ability to restart their hearts after an electrical shock, this trap applies shock for 2 minutes to ensure higher kill rates. After making a catch, a green LED light blinks to indicate a kill. A red blinking light lets you know when it's time to change the batteries.

For your convenience, the trap's design allows you to easily dispose of the dead rodent without having to touch it. Simply tip the trap of a trashcan to discard the rat. Plus, the large chamber makes it easy to clean in between uses. These traps require no poison or chemicals and can be used anywhere inside your home or business to ensure years of effective rat control.

  • Humane, high-voltage shock effectively kills rodents
  • Easy to use - insert batteries, add bait, turn it on and place the trap
  • LED light notifies you of a kill or low battery
  • Never touch a dead rodent - simply tip into the trash!
  • Kills up to 50 rats per set of 4 "C" batteries (not included)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I like it - But! I bought this unit approx. two weeks ago. I set it up with fresh batteries, and it caught a very large female rat the very first night. Since then, it has had three visitors as near as I can tell. One stole the bait! Two received severe electric shocks, dumping the device over and knocking the cover off. The batteries fell out, and the rat escaped in both cases. I know the product works, because it did, but I am currently taping the cover on. No more visitors yet in three days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kills rats Just got rat #6 in the barn this morning and decided it was time to review this trap. I've had it maybe 2-3 months. Got 4 rats in the first few weeks, then didn't get one for a while after that. So 2 days ago I moved it to a new location and have gotten 2 more rats since moving it. Paying this much for a rat trap was a gamble, but I haven't been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great bought one a month ago to try and solve the problem with rodents eating wires under the hood of my car. after trying EVERYTHING and spending a lot of money this has been the most effective . killed 2 big ones in short order and have had no more destruction. so glad i tried this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Great It was bought a month ago after a flood caused rats to invade the house. Killed about 10 rats and mice so far! Unfortunately, though the batteries were new, and never used, and don't expire until 2021, it's already indicating it needs a battery change. I know it said UP TO 50, which allows a lot of room for other results, but that is a Huge discrepency.

Is it suppose to make a buzzing sound once I turn it on? I’ve had mine a month and haven’t caught no mice at all.

Asked by: Blakety
The trap should buzz upon turning on and will also display a green light. We would advise to try moving the location of the trap. Place the trap on a flat surface against a wall where you have seen signs of rodent activity. The trap should be placed lengthwise with the rodent entrance nearest to the wall. Be sure that the area is free of dust and debris. Some causes of the trap not working would be using old batteries, batteries inserted improperly, placing bait directly on the metal plates, extended use resulting in buildup of debris and residue or corrosion of the metal plates, or water damage. This trap can not be used outdoors as it uses batteries and electronic components that cannot be exposed to the elements. Placing the trap outdoors will interfere with the functionality of the product, causing it to fail.
