The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap uses innovative technology to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock, eliminating mice in seconds. To use, simply apply bait in the built-in bait cup, place the trap along the wall near signs of rodent activity, and turn it on. Advanced smart circuit technology senses when a mouse enters the tunnel, triggering the system to deliver a shock. Once fully inside the tunnel, beveled columns keep the mouse in place over the plates, ensuring a 100% kill rate if used as directed with fully charged batteries. After a catch, an LED light blinks green, so you know when it's time to empty the trap without having to check the chamber. When the batteries are low, the LED light will flash red. For your convenience, the trap's design allows for No-See, No-Touch rodent disposal. Plus, the tunnel design and built-in safety switch, which deactivates the trap when opened, helps to protect children and pets.

it works.

I heard something in my attic, put out the conventional snap traps, nothing. set up a trail camera, these cameras are used by hunters and nature photographers, they detect motion and make a video of anything in the area. TRACTOR SUPPLY sells them as well. trail cam video showed a mouse walking right by the snap trap, not even stopping to sniff the bait. like he recognized it as a trap. so I tried this trap. 8 dead mice later and I will never use a snap trap again. several things I learned about this trap. the "caught mouse flashing light" feature is unreliable. it does not always work. the baiting instructions they give you did not work. mice would not go in far enough to get electrocuted. here is how I had great success and eliminated the need for the "caught mouse flashing light". the bait cup is at the opposite end of the trap from the opening. between the bait cup and the opening are the metal plates that electrocute the mouse when he steps on them on his way to the bait cup. I placed one piece of a peanut on each metal plate. then one piece between the baffles and one piece outside of the trap at the entrance. mouse sees/ smells the outside peanut, and when he takes that peanut he sees/smells the peanut between the baffles then when he takes the second peanut he sees/smells the peanut on the first metal plate. when he takes that peanut he sees/smells the peanut on the second plate and either dies when he takes the peanut on the second plate, or when he goes for the peanut butter in the bait cup. the electricity can only kill him when his body is in contact with both metal plates at the same time. I had mice make it to the bait cup and then die. I assume they drag their tail across the first plate while standing on the second plate. the peanut outside tells you if you have a mouse. if the peanut is gone, you probably have a mouse. they do leave stuff on the metal plates which you have to clean off. the electricity can only travel through clean metal plates. I just use a Q tip and wipe it off. to get rid of the dead mouse I find it easiest to pick up the whole trap, open the door you use to set the bait, and dump the dead mouse out. you don't have to touch the dead mouse. from the trail cam, I leaned the mice climb all over the trap and sniff every part of the trap. they wouldn't go inside at first so I rubbed a cooked sausage on the trap to mask any human scents. that worked. wear disposable gloves whenever touching the trap. it hides your scent and you won't pick up any gross stuff the mice might leave behind while climbing all over the trap. I also suggest using a trail camera. that way you know if you are dealing with mice, squirrels, or homeless people.

Terrible Quality

In a word: Garbage. Tested a bunch out and none will flash when the mouse is caught nor do they even arc when you try steel wool in them. Returning them

Best investment when it comes to mouse traps

Great investment, first 4 or 5 nights caught a mouse every night! Still keep it out and have caught about 7 since purchasing. Haven’t had any issues with bait being eaten without trap going off. Sometimes I double check by switching it on and off to make sure it’s on because there’s no other way to tell if it’s on or not. Only downside is you can only catch one at a time

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not impressed

I did not use them after I read in the directions they could cause sparking, I guess I would hate to see a mouse go in and cause it to spark and cause a fire. If they do this, why would they sell them?
