Patience has its rewards when you grow Bonnie Plants Creole Tomato. Revered by Louisiana gardeners and cooks for its fabulous flavor, meaty texture, and outstanding performance even in the hottest, most humid climates, Creole is worth the wait. Although it ripens a little later in the summer, it's a terrific producer of rich, juicy fruit. Enjoy the large, round, red tomatoes fresh diced for bruschetta, sliced for caprese salad, or layered in a savory tomato pie. Or preserve the scrumptious taste of summer for chilly winter days: it's great for sauces or canning. Plus, Creole plants are disease resistant, and the prolific fruit resists cracking. The indeterminate, vigorous vines benefit from strong stakes to support the heavy fruit. Plant in full sun after last spring frost, 36 inches apart. Plant reaches 6 to 8 feet tall and matures in 72 days. Resists fusarium wilt (F) and alternaria stem canker (ASC). Be sure to water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and feed it regularly with Miracle-Gro Plant Food. Bonnie Plants live plant varieties are designed for your gardening success, whether they're disease resistant, heat tolerant, space savers, or produce abundant harvests.
