My mother bought this mower about four years ago, with two years of semi solid use and just now it quit on me while running over the edges of her lawn to neaten it up. There was no sign this would happen, all of a sudden the motor just started to wind down and it stopped. After checking for clogs or anything bound up in the blades and seeing it was clear, I tried a few more times to start it and after making some weak sounds it went silent. While never being impressed with its power, we were hoping it would last longer with intermittent use over small to medium size lawn.

I have this machine for the last 3 years, and I am having issues with the motor for the last year when the guarantee expired. I strongly recommend try another machine

My first B&D corded mower ran great for 20 years until the wiring became disconnected. My second B&D corded mower quit after 3 years when the motor brushes wore through and ruined the motor. Hopefully my new (third) B&D corded mower will be as good as my first one. Thank-you, Ben Fries

The motor failed after just 2 years, of course out of warranty. Rear door for bag attachment doesn’t work well and is always coming loose. Looking for a better alternative.
