The lights appear to be well-made and are suitable to be placed on a flat surface or in the ground with the stakes supplied with the product. They are very bright and will light up any path or area that need lighting. In my case, they are too bright in our dark yard, and interfere with stargazing in the dark sky. Therefore, I switched to the yellow/Amber flame mode, which is pretty cool.

These lights are beautiful! Love the flickering flame look and they are still on in the early morning!

We just purchased the Bell and Howell flame lights and found out that 3 of the 8 that we bought dont function properly. The flame cuts out. We like the size of the lights and the flame pattern on the ones that work correctly.There is nothing in the box regarding warranty or contact information. We will be returning them. We had hoped that they would have fixed the quality issues by now. We bought the same lights years ago and had the same issues. We returned the defective ones and kept the working ones, which still work and look great.

Great set of sidewalk lights. They stand over a foot tall. Wish the poles were more sturdy. I returned them because Lowe's did a price match and applied a military discount so they were less expensive.
