Q: Will these stays work just as well wirh smooth wire?

- A: Bekaert does not recommend using the open top stays on smooth wire. The stays are designed for Barbed Wire. The barbs hold the stays in position on the fence. If used on smooth wire, there is nothing to prevent said stay from sliding together down the fence line.a year agoHelpful?

Q: Can it be used to stabilize, regular wellded wire, fencing?

- A: The Bekaert fence stay is designed to be used on Barbed Wire. The fence stays are placed vertically on the wires between the line posts. The stays maintain the spacing of the wires and help to keep livestock from spreading the strands of barbed apart, should an animal try to push their head through the individual strands. I do not feel the Bekaert fence stay will give much support to help stabilize welded fabric.2 years agoHelpful?
