broke within a yr

my father who is 81 years old purchased a “ bad boy mower” from tractor supply about a year ago. within a month of having it.. one of the Drive motors stopped working.He hasn’t owned it quite a year yet. .. the lawnmower has not been under any strenuous mowing, I do not see any reason for anything to have broke on it when it haven’t been used much. 2 acres max is what has been mowed with it. instead of buying a used one with a risk of fixing someone else’s problem, my father decided to buy a new one and it turns around and breaks down on him within a month of purchasing it. .if a company sells a product they need to stand behind it and fix it if it breaks, especially if it’s NOT the fault of the purchaser…..

Two summer mower

Exactly what you should expect for $4k. Cheesy lawnmower using the “ welded deck” as a selling point for those who are clueless about what really matters. Expect two summers out of the mower before hydraulic issues and some of the plastic, and cast parts begin to fail. For those who think one mower purchase per decade or multiple decades is enough, choose a Scag.

Amazing mower

This Zero turn was a great purchase for us. Heavy duty construction and plenty of power. Very stable and good traction on moderate/reasonable slopes. I did have to adjust steering on one side as one control was a bit out of alignment with the other. I would definitely recommend the 54”. Reasonably priced to the competition. The construction of the deck really makes it stand out compared to the competition.
