My pond is a watershed pond. If the rain doesn't fill it, it will evaporate quickly, especially here is the south where we are lacking in rain. I had a cookout planned and the water was very muddy looking. Put about 1/2 gallon in my 1 &1/2 acre pond and it turned blue. Looked great for the cookout. This is about the 4th time I have used Blue Bayou and it doesn't harm the fish, turtles or geese.

Best dye you can buy. I use this every year. Last a LONG TIME!!! All summer for my pond, has no outlet. I put it in on real windy day so it flows out and disperses nice and fast. If not much wind I have a old boat buoy I throw in to splash it around to flow the dye. I'll be buying it this spring again. Wear rubber gloves or you become a Blue Smurf LOL...

We put this is on pond but not sure if it did anything. About a week after we dropped it in, we had an algae film on our pond that stayed there until it rained. After t rained, it would return again the next day. This happened almost the entire summer. So I don’t know if I would buy it again.

I purchased this product to help color a lake that was muddy. Since then I have been shutdown by the City of Smyrna for putting a foriegn substance into a lake. There is no info on the safety sheet that has convinced Smyrna GA to allow me to move forward, and the customer service people have not helped in getting any additional info that would prove that this product is safely allowed for use in a lake. I have contacted Lonza and Arch Chemical to try to get further info and have been unsuccessful.

I've used this in my 2 acre pond for several years works great it keeps algeas and grasses from taking over shallow areas. The reason I know this is because I skipped a year on treatment to see what would happen well the shallow ends of the pond are now covered in submerged grass and algea. I'm going now to buy some and start coloring again. Great product.

This is my fourth type of dye used in an acre and a half pond and it is not only the longest lasting but leaves the water clear and beautiful with the emerald green color as stated by other reviewers. I have used pond logic as recommended by multiple outlets and yet none have lasted like Blue Bayou. I will buy this again within a month as I imagine that all our June rains will dilute the water extensively. So far so good though!
