We've been getting these for a while for our chicken coops since we are allergic to pine. The price is great, but they seem to be not as flakey anhmore. They're more like shards now that stick to everything and poke into the chickens feet. They're definitely not as soft as they once were.

As a horse owner, I love this product in my horses stall. The bedding is super absorbent and very soft. It’s not large flakes so it’s easy to clean although the shaving do sort of stick to each other so you have to sift a bit but I don’t mind bc of how wonderful this product is otherwise. Bag is BIG and HEAVY which means you know you are getting a ton of product. I add around 1/3 bag to supplement what the barn provides in his stall to give my older horse a super soft, cushioned floor. I have no interest in trying any other bedding besides this one it’s that good. Thankful I have two TSC stores near by bc sometimes it can sell out. I love this stuff. Low dust as well. I do try to stock pile this bc I love it so much. Great for a fluffy, cozy winter stall.
