Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUTELESS WORKS!! This is great stuff! Long term use of Bute is potentially harmful to a horses's liver.....BUTELESS is a great replacement and works just as well if not better!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelleted and Easy to use I bought this for my elderly horse who is having arthritis issues in her hips and back. The vet had given me Bute to give to her first, and I had to crush up the tablets and mix it with applesauce. After a week, she would not let me catch her to give it to her and she became very sore again. I Googled for an alternative and this product came up. This is easy to feed, she just eats the pellets that are mixed in her grain, and she is now moving around much better. This product really has helped her with her soreness, and me with the peace of mind in knowing she is feeling better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absorbine Bute-Less My 19 year old mare has arthritis and has been on meds from a vet for a few years. I was looking for something a little cheaper with the same results and found this. I called Absorbine so I could get more information on it before I tried it. After speaking with them I decided to give it a try and loved the results. She is doing just as well if not better on this than she did on the meds she was getting from the vet. I love the fact that it's buteless so I don't have to worry about it creating any ulcers from long time use.

My mare is already on Previcox, an anti inflamatory med. Can I give her Bute-less with her anti inflamatory for an extra boost

Asked by: Ranie

my mare has an abscess hoof i'm treating will this help relieve the pain?

Asked by: chewey9
Hello and thank you for your question! While it will help relieve discomfort, Bute-Less Supplement is more of a long term fix for horses with chronic discomfort, not acute and sudden issues like an abscess. Bute-Less takes up to 7 days to take effect. You could try Magic Cushion Hoof Packing to relieve hoof pain quickly, though it would depend on the specifics of the abscess so ask your hoof care professional about your specific case. Do not apply Magic Cushion directly to the area where the abscess erupted. If you do use it, make sure to only apply it to a depth of 1/2 inch on the sole, to avoid mess. You can see our full how-to apply video on the Absorbine Youtube Channel. Thanks & Good Luck! -Team Absorbine

My 28 year old gelding has cushings and has been having some difficulty getting up in the mornings. The vet has me trying bute to see if it helps. Would this product still help since he has cushings?

Can this product be combined with other joint supplements?

Asked by: amallonn1122
Yes, this product can be combined with joint supplements because Bute-Less is not a joint supplement, rather a comfort and recovery supplement. It does not contain glucosamine for example. Bute-Less helps encourage normal inflammatory responses and helps with discomfort from not only joint issues, but other causes as well. It works well in conjunction with a traditional joint supplement.

I have a mare with bad back problems that are unfixable, therefore she is occasionally put on bute. Would this work as effective if not better than bute?

Asked by: Barrelracer7
Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, we'd recommend trying Bute-Less for her. It is intended for use long-term, and supports a healthy inflammatory response. If you find that you need the NSAID for acute situations, we recommend you pause feeding our supplement. You don't want to double them up, so take the day off, and resume the day after you stop administering any oral NSAID. -Team Absorbine
