If you do not know the weight of your horse you can use a weight tape to estimate. - A: The scoop included in Bute-Less Pellets is one (1) dry ounce. One ounce is the recommended daily amount for an 1,100 pound horse, which is simply the identified "average" size horse. You must adjust the amount by weight for your particular horse. If your horse weighs 1,650 lbs, then you'd need to serve them 1 and 1/2 scoops per day for example. The 2 lb bag has 32 days-worth for the average 1,100 lb horse. Bute-Less pellets are also available from Tractor Supply in a 5 lb, 80 day bucket. Bute-Less is also available in a 32-day liquid solution form useful for horses that prefer liquid soaked into their grain, and a 3-day paste syringe useful for travelling or in cases where the horse needs the product fed directly to them.4 years agoHelpful?

- A: Bute-Less Supplement comes in 3 forms: Pellets, Solution and Paste Syringe. We recommend you stick to the recommended feeding level on the label. The amount you feed is dependent on the weight of the horse, so adjust up or down accordingly. If you feel you need to increase the serving, we'd recommend you consult your veterinarian. I had an aged Quarter Horse gelding, that helped me teach lessons, who did very well on these pellets. He had some mild stiffness and soreness through the winter months, and adding this on top of his regular joint supplement always helped make him more comfortable. Palatability was never an issue; he never even showed that he knew I had added it in there, and he was pretty picky. Definitely recommend to those who are looking for a more limited ingredient comfort support supplement.

My mare and I love this product :)

I am so thankfule to have this product to keep my senior mare feeling good and moving at age 30! Many days she acts like a teenager when she's not feeling stiff, and it makes my heart smile. Bonus points for her liking the taste and nibbling up every pellet instead of having to force meds.
