Works great - as gym flooring!

We used 16 mats to create a home gym. Turned out great. Weight of the mats holds them in place. Some rubber odor the first few weeks.

Smell really, really BAD!

After reading the reviews on these mats I decided to take a chance and purchase them for a home gym. Almost every review stated that the mats had a strong rubber smell but it typically dissipated within a few days. I bought six mats and laid them out in the new workout space. After three days the smell was so intense (I could literally taste the rubber) that I dragged the mats outside and left them there for 3 WEEKS (flipping them over at 1.5 weeks). I then brought them back inside, scrubbed them with Dawn dish washing detergent (x2) and Lysol (x3) and also sprayed them with Febreeze multiple times. And they still stink. I bought these mats at the beginning of February and it is now April and the odor is still noticeable although bearable.
They do the job as flooring for a home gym, and I like the fact that they're made from recycled tires, but be prepared to deal with the odor for quite some time. I'm sure horses don't mind the stench but this human does!

Shock isolation for industrial equipment transport

It was better and cheaper for shock isolation than offerings from industrial supply companies. TSC is in the neighborhood so it was where we needed it when we needed it. Online ordering was simple. Big box home improvement stores don’t have it and if they did it would be a days walking quota to find and retrieve it. Oh, and it would be great for a stall mat if that's what you need.

Length and width are short

The mat is 47.5 x 71.5", a half inch short of 4x6 ft in both dimensions. If that is important to you, beware. The rubber pattern is also different than pictured, which I now see is mentioned in some fine print. Otherwise it seems very durable.

We purchased 4 of these for the floor of our garage. So far they seem to be holding up well from the weight of the vehicles. They are heavy duty and believe they will last quite awhile
