Q: is there calcium suplament in the feed
6 days ago- A: The guaranteed analysis shows 2.5% Calcium minimum in this feed product.5 days agoHelpful?
Q: What size are these cubes 3/8, 5/8, 7/8
3 years ago- A: Hi, Per the vendor- It is 3/4" cube.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: My horse likes the cubes, are there any ingredients that would make me not allow this at a very low rate such as a couple of stolen cubes a day? I feed the horse a couple in treat form maybe 2 to 5 cubes. Your thoughts?
5 years ago- A: I've fed the Purina Cattle Cubes to my horses for treats for years. They love them and get as much as a pound a day apiece if the grandkids are here! I did have an elderly horse choke on them when he was allowed to eat from the bucket and didn't chew before swallowing. Certainly this wasn't the fault of the cubes, just a warning not to free feed to an old glutton.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Why is the label info not included in product descriptions?
6 years ago- A: PURINA® HI ENERGY 20 AN CUBE Crude Protein (Min) 20.00 % Crude Fat (Min) 1.00 % Crude Fiber (Max) 12.00 % Calcium (Ca) (Min) 2.50 % Calcium (Ca) (Max) 3.50 % Phosphorus (P) (Min) 0.75 % Salt (NaCl) (Min) 2.50 % Salt (NaCl) (Max) 3.50 % Potassium (K) (Min) 0.50 % Vitamin A (Min) 15000 IU/LB INGREDIENTS Processed Grain By-Products, Plant Protein Products, Molasses Products, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Lignin Sulfonate Dehydrated, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin A Supplement, Cobalt Carbonate, Manganese Sulfate, Ethylenediamine Dihydroiodide, Zinc Sulfate, Basic Copper Chloride, Fenugreek Flavor, Natural Flavor. Q: Do you know of anyone that makes “dairy feed” like made in the 60’s? No molasses, no corn or soy?
6 years ago- A: Thanks for choosing Purina. You will want to contact an independent Purina dealer to see if they have any option like this available for dairy cattle.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Could this be fed to pet steer as a treat a few cubes a day? Does it have to be soaked? Will they choke on this?
7 years ago- A: Thanks for your question. Yes, this may be fed as a treat form. It does not require soaking before being fed. If you have an animal that has a history of choke, then you may add water, but it is not something that we suggest unless deemed necessary.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this product rumen degradable, or broken down in the rumen to help cow digest low quality forage, and allow her to eat more of it? Or is there another product supplement I should get. From DocTalk, 12/7/15 Feeding Cows in the Winter.
7 years ago- A: Thanks for your inquiry. It is rumen degradable. When fed at 2-4 pounds it will feed rumen microbes allowing them to digest more forage. If the rumen microbes are digesting more forage, then the cow will eat more hay. Let us know if you have any additional questions.7 years agoHelpful?
