Do you know of anyone that makes “dairy feed” like made in the 60’s?  No molasses, no corn or soy?

Asked by: Hotdog1119
Thanks for choosing Purina. You will want to contact an independent Purina dealer to see if they have any option like this available for dairy cattle.

What are the %'s of the minerals/vitamins etc.in Purina Hi-Energy Cattle Cube? I'm not familiar with the term "cube", does that just mean the shape of the product?

Asked by: 777hunt
See below the guaranteed analysis for this feed tag and ingredient listing. The cube is the size of the piece and it will be 3/4-7/8 inch in diameter. PURINA® HI ENERGY 20 AN CUBE Crude Protein (Min) 20.00 % Crude Fat (Min) 1.00 % Crude Fiber (Max) 12.00 % Calcium (Ca) (Min) 2.50 % Calcium (Ca) (Max) 3.50 % Phosphorus (P) (Min) 0.75 % Salt (NaCl) (Min) 2.50 % Salt (NaCl) (Max) 3.50 % Potassium (K) (Min) 0.50 % Vitamin A (Min) 15000 IU/LB INGREDIENTS Processed Grain By-Products, Plant Protein Products, Molasses Products, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Lignin Sulfonate Dehydrated, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin A Supplement, Cobalt Carbonate, Manganese Sulfate, Ethylenediamine Dihydroiodide, Zinc Sulfate, Basic Copper Chloride, Fenugreek Flavor, Natural Flavor. Feed 1 to 9 pounds per head daily to mature beef cows along with adequate quantities of forage. The amount fed will depend on forage quality, physiological status of the cow herd (gestation versus lactation) and body condition. IMPORTANT Follow these management practices: 1. Monitor body condition of cattle on a regular basis. 2. Recommended feeding rates should be adjusted depending on cattle body condition. 3. When making a ration change, allow 7 to 10 days for animals to adjust to the new ration. 4. Provide adequate feeder space for each animal. 5. Provide mineral and salt free choice. 6. Provide fresh, clean water near the feeding area.

How many 50 lb bags should be mixed per ton of cracked corn ?

Asked by: Sepp55774
This product is not designed to be mixed with corn. Our recommendation is to feed the product according to labeled instructions. This is not a complete feed, so access to forage/hay is recommended, along with good clean water.

Could this be fed to pet steer as a treat a few cubes a day? Does it have to be soaked? Will they choke on this?

Asked by: Mustangirl6
Thanks for your question. Yes, this may be fed as a treat form. It does not require soaking before being fed. If you have an animal that has a history of choke, then you may add water, but it is not something that we suggest unless deemed necessary.
