Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mineral Tub Need to make sure tops are sealed with plastic and cardboard covering ... one tub in with 13 head of mama cows, dry minerals, balage, dry hay and 30 acres of pasture in June lasted a little over two weeks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protein tub Hay was high this year ~ I have kept protein tubs out for the cows and they have maintained weight well over the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Using this protein bucket cuts my feed by almost 1/2 when I use this And if you compare product and size - this is by far the best price
Date published: 2019-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Source of Protein I have used many protein products to supplement my cattle in winter and drought, this is by far the most convenient. They go through it at a good pace and it holds up well to the weather.
Date published: 2019-02-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so great. I had been feeding Ragland brand tubs that rural king sold and they had quit carrying them so I figured I would try these. Put 4 of there out and in less than a week they are all gone, Raglands would last about a month or so. To much molasses or content to soft, I have noticed the cows biting chunks out of the tub.
Date published: 2019-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hereford farmer I have 19 Polled Herefords and a 200 lb tub lasts just under a week to supplement their feed. Very good product.
Date published: 2019-02-12
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horse tub My horses won't touch it, let alone eat it. I have tried two different tubs, returning one to the store and exchanged the first one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRandR Cattle Good product. Great winter supplement. Priced right.
Date published: 2019-02-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes a huge difference in our cattle! We bought a few of these in the fall to keep out to our cattle during the winter and can tell a major difference in them health wise compared to last year they are eating less hay than usual and look great!
Date published: 2019-01-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cows like it. My cows like this protein tub. Only thing is it dont last very long during the winter. Summer months get about 3 months per 6 cows but during the winter about 6 weeks per 6 cows. My cows body weight looks great on this protein tub.
Date published: 2019-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from That needed winter time Boost. This tub is essential to our small herd of cows. Wonderful results every time we buy one. Winter can be very hard on cows that calve in the spring, so we try to boost their protein level to keep them going strong.
Date published: 2019-01-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great supplement! Our cattle have done outstanding on this protein tub. They like it and it helps them through the winter months.
Date published: 2019-01-04
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cows Love It I have bought these tubs for several years each Fall/Winter. Our cows love this tub and it makes a difference in their overall body score.
Date published: 2019-01-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this and my cows loved it. I bought two of the 200 pound tubs and I’m planning to buy 4 more... Great product
Date published: 2018-12-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love it/Cows love it I buy those as a late fall/winter supplement, as I have plenty of good pasture in spring and summer. Cows don't seem to have any problem using their teeth to scrape it out when it is try. Hut Fall and winter is humid enough here that it dissolves a very thin top layer of the supplement only. It remains solid underneath and does not turn the whole bucket into mush. One person state that it didn't last long enough, I think he said he put out 1 bucket for 60 cows. We have 4 cows and they went through the first bucket in about 3 weeks. Once we put the second and 3rd buckets out, they no longer gorged themselves, but converted to a a regular intake. Now, that they know there is always a bucket available, it seems that a buckets lasts our 4 cows for about a month. We also feed good quality alfalfa hay. 3 of the 4 cows are bred and they are looking really good this winter, well filled out and healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of minerals Had bought this online so when I got to the store it was already for pickup. The cows really seem to like it .
Date published: 2018-12-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cows love it. The cows really like them. But was wondering if horses can eat it as they share pastures.
Date published: 2018-12-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack on the lbs I buy these for my beef cattle. Helps them pack on the lbs in a pasture type environment when bigger cattle push away the smaller ones for feed.
Date published: 2018-12-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Great product at a good price. Cattle love it year round!
Date published: 2018-10-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 24% protein tubs I bought a ton of this product in September 2018, half of the tubs were really dried out and seemed old. The other half looks good and I’ve usually been impressed with these tubs.
Date published: 2018-10-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOOO-rrific Great stuff! My cows love it and are always quick to yell(moo) at me when it’s out or running low.
Date published: 2018-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product My cows were needing a little boost this spring, so I went to my local TSC and purchased a 24% protein tub. As soon as I unloaded the tub, my cows starting consuming instantly! after they ate their fill they slowed down. I have purchased tubs from TSC for several years and have always been satisfied with this product. I haven't written a review in a long time but I was so pleased with this product I wanted share with other cattlemen and cattlewomen across the country
Date published: 2018-03-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs more protein My cattle seem to enjoy them but a little more molasses and protein would be beneficial I feel I supplement with 20% cubes for added protein
Date published: 2018-02-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Give em time My girls were used to sticky Crystal licks, which cost a small fortune, and completely ignored this when I first introduced it into a herd of around 40 head. It’s dry on top so they weren’t as interested as I hoped. Next day I threw a couple of handfuls of grain on top of each tub and that’s all it took. Next fresh ones I brought in they went right to without the bait. I’ve had good results. And with lower cattle prices, I’ll take the more economic route!!

Why cant deer eat this....protein and minerals???

Asked by: Buck hunter 33
Deer could eat if they possibly lick at night in a cattle pasture. The 24% -200# protein tub is designed mainly for cattle supplementation under pasture conditions during drought or dormant forage conditions (Fall/Winter). Regarding confined deer, would recommend the TSC General Purpose 16% “All-Natural” in the lower profile 125# tub container. Keep in mind Deer are categorized as “Browsers” not “Lickers” due to the width of their muzzles (Very Narrow) Example- Elk have wider muzzles, thus are considered “Grazers” Smaller 40# Blocks may work better, and/or Deer Pellets from a Self-Feeder.

Is this safe for horses?

Asked by: CJAN
We do not recommend the 24%-4% for Horses, since it contains Non-Protein Nitrogen. (Horses cannot utilize NPN since it is excreted thru the Urinary System) Horses can only utilize approx. 16% or less Protein.

Is it okay for sheep

Asked by: pjmadrid
It is not recommended for sheep because this product contains supplemental copper. The TSC General Purpose 16% “All-Natural” 125# Tub is recommended. Sheep utilize it more efficiently and it contains no supplemental copper.
