- A: This fence is only 5feet tall, and easy for a deer to jump over. The best recommended fence height would be a 7-8ft tall fence. In some areas, 6ft will work well3 years agoHelpful?

Protecting my Arbor Vitae hedge

The fence was exactly what I was looking for. Too bad that tractor supply foes not sell it in their stores as it has to be ordered on line. I am using the fence to go around an Arbor Vitae hefge of trees that is 50 feet long. The deer in my area think it is candy as they eat all of the lower branches in the winter. The fence blends in perfectly with the trees. Any branches that grow thru the fenct I reim so the hedge looks good and the bottoms stay full. A great product.
