Q: I see this attachment, the Yard Tuff Aerator 48" for $20 more than Agri-Fab Aerator, what is the difference? I have a 48" cub cadet LTX1040 will it work with either of these (runs well)?

1 Answer
  • A: They both have 32 aerator plugs, but the Agri-Fab one has a Maximum Aeration Depth of 3 in., where the Yard Tuff one is 2-1/2 in. It appears that they both use a pin style hitch. If your unit is compatible with a pin style hitch, you should be able to use either.

Great price for the features

Bought the Yard Tuff 48 in. Plug Aerator to break up the hard ground around the house. That way the soil can absorb more water and nutrients in order for the grass to grow. It worked excellent! It did a great job plugging the ground after putting some weight on the carry tray to make it go a little bit deeper into the ground. It was easy to put together. The directions were straight forward. The day I brought it home i put it together and hooked it up to my lawn mower and towed it around. I did my whole front and back yard. Very easy to use. Very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend this product! So Far so good. No complaints.

Plug Aerator

This aerator works well as long as you put enough weight on the top tray. It does what it says it will do. In GA red clay dirt, that's saying something!

Terrible Shipping

I received a email during shipping stating something went wrong. Don’t know what that meant. The delivery box was wrapped in plastic and a lot of the parts and hardware were not in the box! Need to fix asap!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cheap construction. Wheels don't extend low enough to raise the spikes high enough so they don't drag on the driveway.
