Item Information

Sometimes, the best spots for food plots can be the toughest places to maneuver heavy equipment. If you can get there by 4-wheeler or foot and the area gets 3 to 4 hours of sunlight a day, Imperial No-Plow can give you a hardy, fast-growing crop of highly nutritious and attractive forage. No-Plow is a high-protein annual that can provide up to 9 months of attraction and nutrition for optimal deer growth and antler development -- and preparation can be done with as little as hand tools.

  • No Till Necessary
  • Includes specially selected cereal grains, clovers, rape, and radish
  • Highly attractive annual forage specifically designed for areas hard to access with farming equipment (logging roads, remote clearings, etc.)
  • Can be planted either in a fully prepared seedbed, or with minimal ground preparation sufficient to establish good seed-to-soil contact
  • EXTREMELY drought and cold tolerant
  • Establishes quickly and grows rapidly
  • Tolerates as little as only 3-4 hours of broken or filtered sunlight a day
  • Annual

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Sold Great stuff for an area only accessible with riding mower and unable to plow. Deer and turkey love it (along with other animals, rabbit, etc). They keep it trimmed where it hardly gets a chance to grow to maturity. Keeps them coming in all year round. I was surprised how it germinated by just broadcasting on the surface with the other grasses. I've used the Imperial Whitetail Clover in a prepared field years ago and it was awesome. This stuff seems to be close without the work. I would recommend Whitetail Institute seed products to everyone. I'm sold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Deer love me now I will be purchasing more of this. Very little prep needed. Very quick to start sprouting! This is great for areas that are tough to reach with equipment. I prepped the first plot with just a weed trimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grows fast, but not enough clover. Pasture for my mixed flock, like to see more clover and alfalfa. 3 beets were it in the mix

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I recently put 4 food plots in using different products. So far I’ve seen good results pertaining to growth. The deer on one of the properties I hunt are fickle. On the other property I hunt which is only 17 miles SW. The deer will eat anything. They have wiped out my plot twice.

Does this product produce blooms and if so are they red or white. I live in southern Indiana so I understand I need to plant it in the fall now. Can I plant it on top of other vegetstion in a mowed area successfully?

Asked by: SKC949
The No Plow is a fall annual that has a red clover in it. It can produce a red bloom. It can be planted with minimal ground preparation but still needs good seed to soil contact. So if the sod base is not too thick the product will grow on top of the ground. But if they soil is exposed it should grow fine.

Are you saying product cannot be planted if area has been treated with round -up?

Asked by: Spike1956
No-Plow can be planted on an area treated with Round-Up. This is a very common practice. Round-Up (glyphosate) does not have any residual soil activity, so it is okay to plant No-Plow after Round-Up has been applied to a field. Most customers wait for the vegetation in area that was sprayed to die down before planting, but some will seed No-Plow a day or two after Round-Up was applied.
