- A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Both well points appear to measure 2 in. x 36 in., have an 80-mesh screen, and can work with wells up to 25 ft. deep. The main difference that is listed between these two well points is the primary material. The blue well point from Water Source is listed as steel while the red well point from K2 Pumps is listed as cast iron.a year agoHelpful?

- A: Hi, Yes, a Water Source Well Point 2 in. x 36 in. WPF3680 can work with a windmill, as long as the windmill has enough power to operate a pump capable of lifting water from the depth of your well; the well point itself is simply the tip of the well casing and does not directly power the water extraction process, which would be handled by the windmill-powered pump.a year agoHelpful?

Makes no problems pounding in by hand

My brother in law did a 1 1/4" from the local home improvement store and it got shreded while he pounded and twisted. It is best to pound and do not twist. I used an eight pound sledge hammer with a basic 2" steel pipe and a cast iron pounding cap. Always pipe dope and teflon each joint or you will ruin the threads.

Solid construction, simple hard to mess up design. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is that tractor supply doesn't carry any other parts to this system. No cap for hammering it down no extra piping. And of course staff dosen't even know what it is.
