Q: Is this safe for baby chicks in a brooder?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Brittany, Per the vendor: “While ingestion of the bio-char is safe overall, I would not put in the brooder. The reason being young chicks first focus should be on a quality diet and getting strong. That said, a general rule of reference is Coop Control can be added when chicken grit (not chick grit) is added to their diet.”

Expensive, but it works

Just like the title, this little bag is expensive, but it works to remove any smell coming from a small chicken coop. Put a couple of bags on top of some sand, and use a cat poop scoop to clean when you need to.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great product

No fowl smells! ha :) Product is grainy, not powdery so it doesn't create dust. This product works as described. No flies or odors to plague us. We do the deep litter method and sprinkle a handful or two once a week across the coop floor. I'm happy TS carries it!
